This flying reptile was famous for being tall and thin.
Named after an Aztec deity, Quetzalcoatlus was the largest flying creature ever to be found.
With an impressive wingspan of almost forty feet, this reptile also had a long neck, head and legs which each measured close to ten feet in length.
Covered in a light fur, this reptile was built like a bird, equipped with hollow bones and sturdy wings for flight with the ability to skim waters for food.
Despite its size, Quetzalcoatlus probably only weighed a few hundred pounds.
