Arjumand – Indian Manjari
Arjumand llives within the gardens of the Taj Mahal, in Agra, India. If you met her by the reflection pool, she would say, “Namaste”, and placing both her hands together, give her head a little bow. She loves her home by the Yamuna river and the ivory-white marble mausoleum, truly one of the world’s most beautiful structures. She is named for Arjumand Banu, later known as Mumtaz Mahal the empress consort of the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan. She was so loved by her husband that he commissioned the Taj Mahal, often considered a wonder of the world, as her tomb.
