Danai – Zimbabwean upenyu hwaAbhagairi
Danai lives on the banks of the Zambezi River by the might Victoria Falls, that sits on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia. She speaks the Shona language and if you met her she would say, “Mhoro.” She loves to play in the jungle with her loyal friend, Shumba, the lion cub. She is named for the Zimbabwean-American actor and playwright, Danai Gurira, who was nominated for a Tony award for the broadway play Eclipse. Maybe you saw her in Marvel’s Black Pantha movies.
