Meet Maria, she lives in the historic city of Rome. If you meet her, she would say, “Caio, mi chiamo Maria.” She loves exploring the many ancient places around Rome like the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and the Parthenon where she can fly right in through the opening in the ceiling. Maria’s best friend is a shy badger named Tasso. She is named for Maria Montessori who was the first female to graduate medicine in Italy. She later became a famous educator scorning traditional teaching methods instead encouraging children’s natural curiosity.
