There are two new horses temporarily staying at Lakeside! Hannah and her dog Ruby happily greet the Appaloosa mare and her foal. Hannah has a trick for putting on the mare’s halter: she distracts her with a delicious-smelling apple. And then it’s off to the paddocks, where the horses can get used to their new surroundings in peace and quiet. Hopefully, they’ll be staying for a good long time! Fun fact- The young foal has a blanket to protect it from cold temperatures.
