Naomi – Jordanian Jinniya
Naomi lives in Jordan’s south-western desert near the famous archaeological site of Petra. It contains tombs and temples, dating from 300 BC, carved into the pink sandstone cliffs of the Al Siq canyon. Naomi’s favourite place to hide is the impressive Treasury Tomb. If she’s not there, you may find her down with the camels that bring the tourists to visit. She is named for the Old Testament woman, Naomi, who lived in the Persian period over two thousand years ago. Although suffering the loss of her husband and sons, she took care of her family and remained faithful to God.
