Micaela – Peruvian Hada
Micaela lives high in the Andes, near the ancient Incan citadel, Machu Picchu, that sits above the Urubamba River Valley. If you met her in the mountain forests, she would say, “Hola, mi nombre es Micaela.” She loves to spend time at exploring the abandoned ruins when the tourists aren’t around, with her friend, Pajaro, a colourful Macaw. She is named for Micaela Bastidas Puyucahua, a pioneering leader against Spanish rule in South America, and a martyr for Peruvian independence.
