A game of chasing and racing
Object of the Game
To be the first player to get all four of their playing pieces ‘HOME’.
Preparation
Each player is given four playing pieces of the same colour and must then sit by the corner of their colour on the game board. The four playing pieces should be placed in the four spaces by their corner of the board. To decide who starts the game, pop the die, the player with the highest score goes first and play continues in a clockwise direction.
How to play
To move a playing piece out of the corner, the player must pop ‘6’ on the die. The playing piece moves to the ‘arrow’ on the game board and the player is allowed to pop the die again. The number shown on the die indicates the distance that the playing piece can move in a clockwise direction. The player may move either the playing piece that has just joined the game board or any of their other pieces that are already in play. A pop of ‘6’ always entitles the player to another pop of the die.
If a player ends their move on an opponent’s playing piece, the opponent must return their playing piece to one of the four spaces by their corner of the board. A player cannot end their move on a space occupied by one of their own playing pieces. The player must always make the move indicated on the die, even if it is to their disadvantage.
A playing piece must make a full circuit of the board and then move into its own coloured ‘HOME’. An opponent is not allowed in a different coloured path.
How to win
The first player to get all of their playing pieces ‘HOME’ id the winner.
